Hazel M. Quail passed away on Friday, December 22, 2006 in Washougal. She was born on March 9, 1914 in Corvallis, Oregon to Walter J and Elizabeth Roberts Worrell. She graduated in 1931 from Girls Polytechnic High School in Portland, Oregon. She married Frank L. Graves in June 1931, divorced in 1937, and was later married for many years to Glenn W. Quail. They loved fishing and hunting and most of all dancing together. She spent countless hours sharing with her grandchildren, cooking, canning, and baking and of course playing cards. She clerked for several years for Safeway, Surbeck's and Danielson's.
Hazel is survived by one daughter Clara Graves Fletcher and husband Scotty, five grandchildren; Tara Lightfoot of Walla Walla, Fritzi Edwards of Washougal, Scotty II of Walla Walla, James Fletcher of Walla Walla, Ginni Delavan of Walla Walla, eight great-grandchildren, and eleven great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Glenn in 1978, two infant sons Walter and Franklin, four sisters Elsie, Maude, Joan, and Mary, and two brothers James and Edwin Worrell.
There will be a private family graveside service. Interment will take place at the Washougal Memorial Cemetery.
Brown's Funeral Home and Cremations Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
