Obituary of Verna Wurman

Verna Genevieve Wurman passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 in Vancouver. Born on August 20, 1914 in Wolbach, Nebraska, Verna was 92 years old.
Verna worked for many years in the cafeteria at Camas High School before her retirement. She was a member or the Order of Eastern Star in Nebraska and a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Camas. She was also a Girl Scout Leader and enjoyed walking and being with her family.
Verna is survived by her daughters Shirley Ann Wurman of Washougal, and Sharon Sharp of Camas, her brother Howard Oakeson of Grand Island, Nebraska, and sister Hildur Petersen of St. Paul, Nebraska, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Jacob Wurman (1998), and brother Paul Oakeson (2006).
There will be a service on Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at Zion Lutheran Church in Camas at 11:00 am. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 2nd at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas from 10:00-5:00 pm. Private interment will take place at the Camas Cemetery.
Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
