Obituary of Jerene Von Holt

Jerene Ione Von Holt peacefully passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver, Washington. Born on August 18, 1939 in Morton, Washington to Victor and Iris (Mustain) Mills, Jerene was 71 years old. A 25 year Clark County resident, Jerene was living in Camas and was previously of Vancouver and Battle Ground. She worked for the United States Forest Service before her retirement. She will forever be remembered for her love of animals, knitting, playing cards, spending time at the beach, and her love for her family. Jerene is survived by her children Elizabeth (Gary) Tomasch of Port Orchard, Washington, Julie Von Holt of Vancouver, Robert Anderson of Camas, and David (Gayle) Von Holt of Auburn, Washington; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and her special companion Sadie the cat. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 46 years Lt.-Col. James Gordon Von Holt in 2004. There will be no public services. Memorials in Jerene's honor may be sent to the Southwest Washington Humane Society. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
