Helen Emma McKamey peacefully passed away on Friday, April 8, 2011 at her home in Vancouver. Born on March 16, 1917 in Crete, Nebraska to Frank and Bertha (Cookus) Gieler; Helen was 94 years old.
A thirty year Washougal resident; Helen was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Camas. She will forever be remembered for the love she had for her family and her Lord.
Helen is survived by her daughters Sherry Donegan of Sacramento, California, Lois Johnson of Vancouver, and Karen Burt of Washougal; sons Francis E. McKamey of Hermiston, Oregon, and Delwin McKamey of Boring, Oregon; fourteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by the love of her life of sixty-four years Dell McKamey in 2000.
There will be no public service per Helen's request. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
