Obituary of Trenton Pearce-Shelby

Trenton Pearce-Shelby returned to his Lord on Friday, October 14, 2011. Born on August 8, 1991 in Portland, Oregon to Greg and Roxanne (Pearce) Shelby; Trenton was 20 years old. A lifetime Washougal resident, Trenton was a graduate of Washougal High School and attended Clark College in Vancouver. He was an avid sports fan especially of football. He was a season ticket holder with his family of the Seattle Seahawks and started attending the games at age two. Trenton also was a huge history buff who wanted to obtain his teaching degree in history and help kids that struggled in school. Known as everyone's "Teddy Bear" Trenton will be missed by all who knew him and spent time with him. Trenton is survived by his loving parents Greg and Roxanne Shelby at home, and Denise Winders of Washougal; brother Greg (Sandy) Shelby Jr. of Washougal; sisters Tricia Pearce-Shelby of Washougal and Katie Shelby of Washougal; grandmother Patricia Van House of Vancouver; great-grandmother Delores Griffee of Vancouver; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Marilyn Rutherford, uncle Mike Shelby, and cousins Gary Shelby Jr. and Lucas Turner. There will be a celebration of Trenton's life on Thursday, October 20th at 11:00 am at Gateway Community Church: 1235 E Street, Washougal, WA 98671. Vault interment will follow at the Washougal Memorial Cemetery. The family requests those in attendance to dress in Seattle Seahawk attire or green, blue, and white. Also, carpooling is recommended. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 19th from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Brown's Funeral Home: 410 NE Garfield St.; Camas, WA 98607. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
