I shall always treasure the memory of the twenty years -- hard to believe it's been that long -- that I knew Dona. From habit and courtesy I always spoke of her as 'Ms McFarland' but I've really grown to feel over the years that we'd developed more than a 'patient-doctor' relationship and I'm sure she'd not be shocked at the 'Dona'! She was a wonderful lady, in every sense of the word. Even when she wasn't feeling well she'd never complain, always had a friendly word for the nurses, and a wonderful, wonderful smile for all of us. I know that it was the loving support of her family -- more than anything I could do for her -- that kept her strong and upbeat through thick and thin. It was a privilege to help her through some tough times. We'll all miss her terribly. With sincere condolences, John C. Fowler, M.D.

Bob, I never got to meet your wife, but I know she must have been special to be able to put up with the railroad for over 38 years, and to put up with you too!!! That has to be a incredible woman in my estimation. My sincere condolences in your loss.
