Obituary of Elmer Manor

Elmer Harrison Manor peacefully passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at home in Vancouver. Born on October 13, 1920 in Encampment, Wyoming, Elmer was 86 years old.
A Clark County resident from 1946-1966, Elmer lived in Svensen, Oregon until recently moving back to the area. He worked as a machine tender for Crown Zellerbach Paper Mill in both Camas Mill and Wauna, Oregon Mill. He was a WWII Veteran, serving in the United States Marine Corps. and was awarded the Purple Heart Medal for being wounded in combat. Elmer also was a member and former Board of Director for Crossroads Community Church in Svensen.
Elmer is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Margaret at home, sons Ronald Manor of Olympia, and Jim Ludwig of Camas, brother George Manor of Camas, grandchildren Julie Dennis of Camas, Michael Ludwig of Camas, Kristina Phillips of Coeur d'Alene and Jeff Manor of Seattle, and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers Earl Manor and Alfred Manor.
Services are pending. Viewing will be held on Friday from 10:00-5:00 pm, and on Monday from 9:00-Noon at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas. Memorials in Elmer's memory may be sent to Hospice SW: PO Box 1600, Vancouver, WA 98668.
