Obituary of Gerald Cadero

Gerald "Jerry" Thomas Cadero returned to his Lord on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at the Ray Hickey Hospice House in Vancouver, Washington. Born on October 1, 1925 in Seattle, Washington to Joseph and Loretta (Enos) Cadero; Jerry was 85 years old. A Camas resident for the last seven months, Jerry was formerly a lifetime resident of Port Townsend, Washington. He worked as a winderman for Crown Zellerbach Paper Mill in Port Townsend and was a member of the AWPPW Local #175 of Port Townsend. He was also a member of St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Port Townsend. Jerry enjoyed walking, farming, being outdoors, and spending time with his family and friends. Jerry is survived by his loving children Sandra (Russ) Canfield of Washougal, Shari (Lance) Huber of Mossyrock, Washington, Judy Ann Peterson of Nordland, Washington, Thomas Cadero of Auburn, Washington, Joseph Cadero of Auburn, Washington, and Robert Doerflein of Nordland, Washington; daughter-in-law Janet Cadero of Port Hadlock, Washington; sixteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by the love of his life Doreen "Patsy" Cadero, son Daniel Cadero, and grandson Cory Cadero. There will be a Funeral Mass for Jerry on Monday, July 25th at 12:05 pm at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Port Townsend, Washington. Vault interment will follow at the Sound View Cemetery in Nordland, Washington. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
