I just heard of Art's passing, and am saddened. We grew up not far from each other in Richland, and were a year apart in junior high and high school. In September of 1968, I got assigned to an Army unit near Long Binh, not far from Saigon, and when I got in the truck to be transported, Art appeared! We renewed our acquaintance, and got together several times before Art was discharged. He was a kind, good-natured, witty guy. My deepest condolences to his family. Joe Ford

I worked with Art at Siemens. As Service Dispatcher I had a lot of contact with Art and he was truly one of my favorite fitters. If he could not take the call he could always help me figure out who could. I am saddened by his passing but glad I had the opportunity to know him. pam

Art (turtle) and I went to Jr. High and High School together. We worked on cars and went everywhere in my 57 Chevy. Art really helped me keep that car in great running condition. That is where the name "turtle" came from because he was the first one to grab tools and go under to fix things. All we would see in Art poking his head out once in awhile to tell us he needed another tool. I never really saw Art much after High School but I have thought of him often because he really was one of the six pack (Stan Burnett, Rich Quinley, Pete Van Wyck & Kenney Foster) that ran around everywhere together. I am deeply sadden to here of his passing. Once again we have lost another Richland Bomber from 1964. I miss you old friend. Don Gana

I remember Art well, and it is sad to see another of the brothers and sisters of the class of 64 passing on. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Sandy and the rest of Art's family.

I am so sorry to hear about Art’s passing. We met many years ago and became friends quickly. I always enjoyed his crafty play on words and dry humor which always keep a smile on Sandy’s face. I will definitely miss this honest and most generous man. Sandy, Marc and family our thoughts are with you.

I had the pleasure of growing up with Art and lived a block away from his family. Art was a great friend and wonderful guy to work on cars with. I will miss him and hope he is at peace now

I'm saddened to read of Art's passing in the Sandstorm. I didn't know him really well, but what I knew of him was all good. Art always had a smile for me when we past in the halls of high school. A very friendly person and well liked and thought of.

I was so sorry to hear about Art's passing. He and I went to high school together; I remember he was always a car guy. I really liked Art a lot and think of him very fondly. It made me smile to see his face again; he looked the same, but more mature. I am very sorry for your loss.
