Dennis Fredrick Heinrich peacefully passed away with his family by his side on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at his home in Vancouver. Born on June 29, 1936 in Stevenson, Washington to John Conrad Heinrich and Ruby (Mason) Sutherland; Dennis was 75 years old.
A 42 year resident of Vancouver; Dennis worked as a switchman and brakeman in the railroad industry. He was a member of the United Transportation Union and a seven year reserve deputy for the Clark County Sheriff's Office. Dennis was an avid fisherman including fly fishing and enjoyed collecting guns, building WWII models and playing cribbage. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Sharin at home; son Daniel Heinrich of Vancouver; daughters Bonny Luther of Orting, Washington, and Penny Schmid of Vancouver; Grandchildren Sam, Amanda, and Kelly.
There will be a celebration of Dennis' life on Sunday, August 21st at 2:00 pm at Brown's Funeral Home: 410 NE Garfield St. Camas, WA 98607. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Dennis' honor may be sent to the Dennis Heinrich Memorial Fund. You can make donations for the fund at any IQ Credit Union Branch. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
