Obituary of Von Kinzer

Von Pohle Kinzer peacefully passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2007 in Vancouver. Born on February 19, 1930 in Vinita, Oklahoma, Von was 77 years old. Von worked as a registered nurse at Western State Hospital in Steilacoom, Washington. He enjoyed flying, learning about history, and woodworking. Von is survived by his loving wife Dena at home, children Dean Olson of Anchorage, Kim Olson of Walla Walla, Jay Kinzer of Puyallup, Karina Kinzer Smith of Vancouver, James Blade of Tacoma, Leland Blade of San Diego, and Gaylen Blade of Austin, Texas, brother Miles Kinzer of College Place, WA, 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his siblings William "Bill" Kinzer, Kenneth Kinzer, Meade Kinzer, Joe Kinzer, and Lila Kinzer Meilicke. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, July 30th at 2:00 pm at Riverside Seventh-Day Adventists in Washougal. Memorials in Von's memory may be sent to the American Diabetes Association: P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
