Obituary of Edwin Dunn

Edwin E. Dunn peacefully passed away on Monday, July 16, 2007 in Vancouver. Born on December 23, 1935 in Phoenix, Arizona, Edwin was 71 years old. Raised in Madera, California, Edwin attended and graduated from the Madera School System. A resident of the Portland area since 1975, Edwin lived the past two years in Washougal, and was a former six year resident of Woodburn. A Veteran of the US Navy during the Korean War, Edwin worked as a truck driver for twenty years. He was an owner and operator for Mayflower Trucking and also worked as a real estate agent for Estates Reality in Woodburn. Edwin was a Past Master for Mt. Hood Lodge #157 A.F. & A.M. in Portland, a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies and Al Kader Temple of the Shrine, and Past Patron of Mt. Hood Chapter #144 O.E.S. of Portland. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, archery, and sports. Edwin is survived by his loving wife Merilyn at home, daughters Barbara Reeves of Schallott, North Carolina and Frances McKinney of Fallon, Nevada, sons Steven Dunn of Okeana, Ohio, Brent Waters of Portland, Oregon, and Terry Waters of Vancleave, Mississippi, brothers Ray Dunn of Landers, California, and Truman Dunn of Madera, California, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. There will be a graveside service for Edwin on Friday, June 20th at 9:30 am at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland. Memorials in Edwin's honor may be sent to the Ray Hickey Hospice House: PO Box 1600, Vancouver, WA 98668 or to Shriners Hospital for Children: 3101 S.W. Sam Jackson Park Road, Portland, OR 97239.
