You would have been 75 this year. Mom sure could use you around the house. Seems everyone has taken over her home and are not leaving anytime soon. Please watch over her and give her strength. Miss you dad. Love always Mare

Ever since I can remember every year I got to meet Santa, not like most kids in the mall, no I was special and every year Santa came to me. We would all gather round in the kitchen or the living room and Santa would be sitting in one of the chairs with his bag of gifts waiting for us to line up and take turns getting them. Meanwhile grandpa would magically be at the "store" or in another "room" :). Even after I was older and new it was him under that white beard and red suit, it still made me feel special. To me he will always be Santa, so you better watch out, you better not cry, you better not shout I'm telling you why, Grandpa Claus is coming to town. :)

There are many stories I could share with you about our father. Some not so flattering others well not so flattering either. lol Dad was a man of limited means, limited words and sometimes limited patience. He had a heart of gold under his sometimes rough exterior. You didn't want to get on the wrong side of him. If he was your friend, you had a friend for life unless you did him wrong. One thing dad taught me was to always be good for my word. If you said you were going to do something by God you better do it. Dad was a wonderful grandfather who loved his grandchildren with all his heart. The kids thought grandpa was crazy. He would talk to fruit pretending to have conversations. He would get on the ground and roll around, throw water balloons and make things in his shop for them. He made little Jenny rockers because of our daughter Jennifer. He would use the grandchildren as his testing ground. Dad was a great story teller and a great dancer. I loved listening to his mischievous stories and I loved dancing with him. May you be dancing in heaven pain free dad. Love always Marilyn PS I read a quote once that said: "There is a special bathroom in heaven for the father of a bunch of girls."

We had our nicknames for each other for all the years we knew each other!!
There will never be another "Doughboy!" I had the pleasure and fun of working with him for many, many years. I think of Jerry and smiles and laughter come over me as I remember all the crazy things he and I did while we worked together. He lived life to the fullest and Kay and the kids were the most important thing in his life!!
He was laughter, love, and comical all rolled into one wonderful person.
I know that working with him was the best part of my life and I am sure that many others that knew Jerry feel the same way!! He could make you laugh when all was going wrong yet he had the kindest heart and most supporting ability to make things seem ok!!
I love ya" Doughboy" You will be so missed but so well remembered and always with a smile and love!!
Love "Hamster Brain" (Candy)

My most memorable story of Unc is when he came over to our house for my birthday. Of course everyone got birthday spankings on their birthdays, so when it was time for mine, Unc put me across his knees and started counting as he spanked, he didn't get very far before our little long hair dachsund (Ding-a-Ling) attacked unk. It was at that moment our dad decided, that Ding-a-Ling would be our protector instead of going to the pound. Thanks Unc for all of your love through the years. You loved Joy and I like we were blood relatives. You will forever be loved and missed.

To your entire family I send my prayers. I lost my mother years ago and this is a poem that I always think of when she is on my mind. This was one of my moms favorite writers. I hope that it can at least bring you a small amount of comfort in these difficult times. All My Love, LeeAnn When I Must Leave You by Helen Steiner Rice When I must leave you for a little while- Please do not grieve and shed wild tears And hug your sorrow to you through the years. But start out bravely with a gallant smile; And for my sake and in my name Live on and do all things the same. Feed not your loneliness on empty days, But fill each waking hour in useful ways, Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer And I in turn will comfort you and hold you near; And never, never be afraid to die For I am waiting for you in the sky!
