Joyce Ione Hill passed away on January 14, 2015. She was 93 years old.
Born the eldest of 7 on December 22, 1921 to her parents Joseph and Gladys Mackey in Cass Lake, Minnesota, Joyce went through her schooling before moving to the Pacific Northwest. A Camas/Washougal resident since 1941, Joyce worked as a receptionist at the medical office of Dr. Stefan. She enjoyed playing bingo, knitting, cooking and traveling all over the United States.
Joyce is survived by her daughter Virginia Jemtegaard, 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren, as well as 2 sisters, Patricia and Marylou. She was preceded in death by her husband Louis Ross Hill, her son Gary, 2 grandsons, 3 sisters and 1 brother.
No services will take place at the family’s request.
