Obituary of David Eugene Tarr

David Eugene Tarr passed away on July 3, 2015. He was 83 years old.
David was born on January 11, 1932 in Washington, Pennsylvania. He held a bachelor degree from NYACK University, a master’s degree from Harford University, and his Ph.D from Pacific State University. David worked as a college administrator and retired from Simpson University as Dean and Professor Emeritus. David wrote both poetry and music, and he loved to travel extensively, conducting musical performances. He founded “The West Virginians”, and produced the Canadian TV Series “Singspiration”.
David is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Dorothy Tarr; his daughter Diane Scott; three sons: David, Dale and Darren; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two infant sons: Dwight and Dean, three brothers: Charles, Raymond, and James, and two sisters: Lola and Zoanna.
A celebration of David’s life will take place on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at 2 PM at the Fairway Village Club House, on Fernwood Drive in Vancouver. His urn will be interred in Washington Cemetery, in Washington, PA. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown’s Funeral Home.
