So sorry for your loss. It is so hard to find adequate words to say at such a time of deep sorrow. May it help to know, God loves you and Norma and sent his beloved son, Jesus Christ, to give his life for mankind, so that we could have the prospect of living forever.(John 3:16) May the marvelous prospect of seeing your beloved Norma again, give you hope and bring you peace, for God promises, "Your Dead Will Live. Awake and shout joyfully, You Residents In The Dust!.." (Isaiah 26:19)

Our family went to visit Norma today at Fort Vancouver Memory Center and were saddened to hear of her passing last week. Over a decade of friendship with Norma, we have gained many fond memories during our times with her. She was a great example of kindness to others and unselfish service to her family. We will miss her!

Karen, Linda, Rick and Mike,
So sorry to read about your mom's death. I know how bad her Alzheimer's had gotten (after talking with Mike this summer) and that she wasn't herself. That is especially hard on families. I liked your mom a lot. From the time Rick first brought me home for lunch until several years ago when I ran into her at the hospital. She was always so glad to see me. I remember visiting her at the house on the river after she married George. We had quite a long visit. She was a huge influence on my decision to be a nurse. A decision I have never regretted for a single moment. I have other nurse friends that also knew your mom and thought a great deal of her. I wish I had visited with her more often over the years. She was a wonderful person and I will miss her a lot.
