Kermit Alan Swenson of Camas, passed away on March 20, 2016. He was 66 years old. Kermit was born on September 5, 1949 in Portland, Oregon, to his parents Helene and Harvey Swenson. Kermit has been a Camas/Washougal resident since 1979. He was a member of NorthLake Church, a former Carpenter’s union member, as well as a little league coach. Kermit enjoyed fishing, camping and surfing, as also going to garage sales and collecting marbles. Survivors include his wife Karen, at home; his 3 daughters: Tammy Borden of Hilo, HI; Tarra Swenson of Hilo, HI; and Krystal McMahon of Camas; his 3 sons: Jeremy Reed of San Diego, CA; Kyle Swenson of Washougal, and Karl Swenson of Camas; 15 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, his brother Gary Swenson, and his 2 sisters: Mary Taylor and Diane Swenson-Pye. He was preceded in death by his parents. A celebration of Kermit’s life will take place on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 11 AM, at NorthLake Church in Camas. A reception will take place after, followed by a graveside interment at Washougal Memorial Cemetery. Brown’s Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
