Margaret Allan Turpie Boardman age 92 of Camas, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2016.
Margaret was born on November 10, 1923 in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was an 8 year resident of Camas, Washington, enjoyed Ballet and was also an actress in the New Orleans Little Theater. She played the lead role in “Magnificent Obsession” and later, played the role of an old woman. There was a movie star scout in the audience who really wanted to take her to Hollywood to make her a big star, but her father refused to let her go.
Survivors include her son Henry P. Boardman, Jr, and her two daughters, Barbara Ann Boardman and Ellen Lynn Boardman, as well as 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Henry P. Boardman, and by her parents, 3 brothers, and a sister.
Celebration of Life will be held on August 14, 2016 at 2PM at Avamere Rehab of Cascade Park (801 S.E. Park Crest Ave. Vancouver, WA 98683). Margaret lived there the last 5 years of her life, and made many friends with residents and staff alike. Arrangements are under the care of Brown's Funeral Home in Camas, WA.
