A couple years after I met Jim I was working on a pump house on Hanlon Rd. He did not know me well at this time. It took a bit of work to build this pump house, cause of course I got carried away with the building and it was the first one I built, but Jim kept driving by over the week I was building it to visit Neil. He alos was also mowing the drive on Hanlon Rd. Anyway, after he had seen me out there , shovelling and hammering and putting siding up Jim came by and said , nice pump house. He said it real nice, like he respected me for working hard at something.
He was a warm person and went out of his way to be nice.
Jim's mom must of been a really nice women cause she helped Bill Crispien get into photography. It is to bad so many of her photos were lost in a fire.
I remember how bummed Jim was one day when I saw him and he had just lost a calf. He sure liked driving around in that old truck and tending that cattle. I'll miss seeing him around.
