Obituary of James Thomas Lucas

James Thomas Lucas passed away on October 1, 2016. He was 78 years old. James was born on July 9, 1938 in Oakland, Michigan, to his parents Agnes and Edward Lucas. James was a veteran in the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. James has been a resident of Woodland since 1976, and was a member of the the V.F.W. as well as the American Legion. He worked as a carpenter, and was a member of the Carpenters Union Local #146 in Portland. Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Linda at home, their 2 sons: James J. Lucas and Larry L. Lucas, their 2 daughters: Janet (David) Schmitz and Lynda (Mike) Thornton, 12 grandchildren, his brother Lynn Lucas and his sister Carolyn Coombs. James was preceded in death by his parents, his 3 brothers, 4 sisters, and 1 grandson. There are no public services scheduled at this time. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown's Funeral Home.
