Obituary of Herbert Thurlow

Herbert Howard Thurlow peacefully passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 in Longview, Washington. Born on December 14, 1920 in Exeter, Maine to John H. and Cassie (Henderson) Thurlow; Herbert was 90 years old. A sixty-one year Clark County resident, Herbert lived the last thirty-three years in Washougal. He was a Veteran of World War II having honorably served in the United States Army. He was a member of Camas Assembly of God Church and worked as an auto mechanic until his retirement. Herbert is survived by his daughter Bonnie Thurlow of Vancouver; son Ron (Carla) Thurlow of Spokane, Washington; and brothers John (Norma) Thurlow of Ridgefield and Carl Thurlow of Corinna, Maine. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years Barbara Thurlow on September 18, 2011. There will be a celebration of Herbert's life on Friday, October 28th at 11:00 am at the Camas Assembly of God Church: 500 SE Everett Rd., Camas, WA 98607. Interment will be held at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
