Obituary of Richard Ellsworth Jones

Richard Ellsworth Jones, 70 years, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2017 peacefully in Vancouver, Washington.  He was born on July 21, 1946 to Ellsworth and Dorothy Jones in Portland, Oregon.  He was a Clark County resident since 1991.

Richard was a U.S. Navy veteran and served his country in the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion..  He worked as a General Manager in the Automotive Industry. His other interest in life was playing and enjoying golfing.

Richard is survived by his wife of 38 years, Carol at home; son, Brian E Jones of Portland, Oregon; sister, Cherie Staehley of Vancouver, Washington.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A private service will be held at Skyline Memorial Garden.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Southwest or Ray Hickey Hospice House, Vancouver, WA.   A special thanks to Kim, his nurse, and the Hospice team.
