My condolences to the family . I know this is a very difficult time for you right now and no words can express how sorry I am for your loss. Please remember that God can comfort us. So draw close to God in prayer so He can draw close to you to comfort you and to give you that peace of God that surpasses all understanding Philippians 4:6;7).May Jehovah God grant you guidance, strength at this difficult time.

I arrived home this evening to read of Gene's passing. A flood of memories rushed through me. There were so many times of fundraising at the Community Center. He walked armed with his defense stick through the neighborhood. His laughter was such that you had to smile and laugh. His kindness only matched his generosity. He enriched this community. The last years were hard for him and his family. I send prayers to all his loved ones. Thanks for sharing him. Peace be yours, Jan Robinson

Gene and Lois.....
Gene, Ridgefield will miss you, I will miss you. Funny how we think people will last forever, I was one of those thinking that about you. When I visited you in Woodland I thought Oh, he will be coming home in no time, but you didn't come home. I miss you. I miss how every time I saw you-you had a big smile on your face and you were always happy. I liked that no matter where you were if I was within your sight you would seek me out and talk to me.
You were a good man Gene. Now you can watch over me from Heaven, and every time I think of you I will smile. I will always smile when I think of you.
I will see you again someday and we'll smile together.
Lois, I know you are hurting right now, you are very special to me too. If there is anything and I do mean anything I can do to help you out Please let me know. xoxo
With Love,
Barb

We are sorry for your loss. When I think of Gene all I can do is smile. He had such a kind heart and had a overwhelming presence that just lite up a room when he entered. I never seen him without a smile on his face. The love he had for his family was genuine and full of pride. I have lots of memories growing up of him and Uncle Bob being silly, overgrown Navy Boys :) He will always be a strong presence in all of your hearts.
Much love,
Rob and Michelle Johnson

I will miss the teasing twinkle in Uncle Gene's eyes that was so much a part of his personality.. I'm very happy that I was able to see him, and that twinkle, again when Diana, Donna and I visited not so long ago. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I loved my Uncle Gene.
