To the family and friends of Vern, I and Patties condolences. So very sorry to hear of his untimely death. Since we moved to Arizona a few years back have seen very little of Vern, but have many fond memories of him and I at work and out of the mill. Pranking co-workers, foggy ride over the mountain, darn near burning down a borrowed hunting tent and a midnight drive to Reno to name a few. Rest in peace Verno. See you on the other side buddy. Regards Norm and Patti Schroeder

You will be so dearly missed. You were such a dear friend. I am so glad I got to know you. I had so much fun with you when you where here in AZ. You will always have a special spot in my heart. God took a good man to soon, but I know you are in a better place now. I will see you in heaven. Love you.

Having only met Vern a few times in Washougal, I still moved away from the PNW with the lasting impression of a very nice guy.
The news of his passing finally reached me today in SC. I am saddened, but certain that he is comfortable in Heaven with our Lord, Jesus Christ.
RIP Vern.

I went all through school with Vern. Went on several bus trips to the casinos with Vern and others. Vern is such a kind and wonderful person. What a shame that he had to leave us so soon. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. We will not forget Vern, he will live in our hearts always♥️
