Linda Elaine White
June 2nd, 1948 – October 7th, 2019
Linda was born in the summer of 1948 to parents Gail and Violet Folger in Denver, Colorado, where she was raised with her brother. After graduating high school, Linda relocated to Ft. Collins, CO where she attended Collins College and worked to be awarded a Bachelor’s degree. While in college, Linda met a gentleman named David; they fell in love and were married in 1974. Linda and David did some moving around after their schooling for work, and ended up living in Pittsburg, PA, and Sacramento, CA before spending some time in Washington State. They both loved Washington State so much, specifically the time they had spent in the Clark County area, that they moved to Washougal for good in 1985. Linda and David settled in, and raised their children, their 2 sons Caleb and Clinton.
Linda loved her family dearly. While her boys were younger, she was always involved in their scouting troop meets and school events, like fundraisers or rummage sales as well as being a classroom aide from time to time. She also loved her friends; while she did not have tons of pals, she believed it was the quality over the quantity of friends that mattered and had a couple very close, dear friends that her and David would spend time with. Linda also liked to spend her time gardening; she had a green thumb of sorts, and was brilliant with her care for flowers and shrubbery around her country property. Overall, travel may have been a favorite hobby or pastime as her and David grew together. Overseas trips that they shared and enjoyed were to Russia, Egypt, and around the Far East. b
Linda is survived by her husband David White, at home in Washougal, WA; 2 sons, Caleb (Deena) White, Lake Oswego, OR, and Clinton White, Camas, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Paul Folger.
Linda Elaine White was laid to rest on October 22nd, 2019 at Willamette National Cemetery. Pastor Thomas Tweed officiated.
