I just read in the Paul Smith's College Alumni magazine that Rich had passed on. We were good friends in college, and I always remember him flashing that great big smile and brushing away the hair that seemed always to fall in his line of vision. I spoke with him a few years ago and he told me how he still enjoyed his golf game despite losing an arm to cancer. He was a good, good man and I am glad that I knew him. Jay Tustin '70

Rich LeBle was a wonderful friend. His passing breaks our hearts.
While we lived close for only 4 years in the 80s, we shared soccer, softball, tennis, water sports, snow sports, golf, basketball, parties, families, and friends. We remained close friends to the end. Rich remains the most courageous, positive and stimulating man I have known. I share his story with others to inspire them to be positive and accept difficult challenges; as Rich did.
Our thoughts and prayers remain with Rich, all his family, and his friends.
With Love,
Galen and Donna Hilliard

My deepest condolences to the LeBle family. Rich was the best boss I ever had! He taught me the restaurant business at Mr. Steak Restaurants, then encouraged me to join Wendy's International. I don't think I have ever met a kinder, more positive individual in my life. Rich was always happy, he adored his family immensely, he will not be soon forgotten. I will close by saying rest in peace and may God Bless!

Jennessa, Bryan and family,
We are so saddened to learn about your dad. Our hearts just break for all of you. Rich was a role model for all of us in so many ways. His kindness, his entrepreneurial drive, his love of family and his love of life should be emulated by all of us. He lived with that ugly cancer for so long but he was a warrior through it all. May peace and love surround you now and in the hard days ahead. Give your mom and those amazing young boys a hug from the Retzers.
Love, Penny and Steve

Ret, Sean, Shannon, Janessa -
I am so sorry for your loss. Rich was such great guy and I always had so much respect for him and your family. I enjoyed working for Rich and looked often to him for guidance. He had such a joyous attitude toward life, even in light of his health struggles. My time with Y'all at the last convention in Orlando brought back some many great memories, it was like I had never left Portland.
Please know that my heart and love go out to you all and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Loretta, I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Please know that we are here if you need anything. I will always remember Rich and his love for golf. The best was when he hit a hole in one with only one arm! He truly enjoyed the game of golf. He definitely taught us all lessons on how to live a full life even in the face of adversity. His strength will not be forgotten and we are so glad to have been able to know him.
