John Patrick "Pat" Caughlan, aged 69, passed away on August 17, 2021 in Vancouver, Washington. He was a resident of Vancouver for 37 years. Pat was born on September 5, 1951 in Portland, Oregon to his parents, John Clark Caughlan and Pauline Mary Craven. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Viet Nam conflict. He earned his Bachelor's Degree and worked in the Carpet Industry in Commercial Retail Sales. Pat and his wife, Diane were the owners of Caughlan's Commercial Floor & Covering in Portland, Oregon. Pat is survived by his sons; John Caughlan of Camas, Washington, Steve Caughlan of Vancouver, Washington, Brian Caughlan of Olympia, Washington; sister, Cindy Straughn of Gales Creek, Oregon; 5 grandchildren. Pat was preceded in death by his wife, Diane. There will be a Celebration of their lives on Sunday, September 26, 2021 from 12-3 p.m. at the Elks Lodge #823 in Vancouver, Washington. Pat and Diane will be Interred at Willamette National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of condolences the family asks for donations to be made to Rebuilding together of Portland, OR, the Clark County Humane Society, or the YWCA of Clark County.
