Obituary of Vernon Vahsholtz

Vernon Vahsholtz passed away peacefully on October 11, 2013. He was 78 years old. Vernon was born on July 28, 1935 in Woodbine Kansas to his parents Roy and Frieda Vahsholtz where he grew up with two brothers and three sisters. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Duane and Harold as well as his sister Norma, and survived by his loving wife Barbara at home; son Jay of Salem, Oregon; daughter Amy Foster of Beaverton, Oregon, sisters Arlene Brumsickle of Kelso, Washington and Shirley Hippe of Tacoma, Washington as well as two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was a 35 year resident of the Camas-Washougal area, Vernon was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Camas, and a former member of Camas-Washougal Jaycees as well as the Washington Education Association. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, October 19, at 1PM at Zion Lutheran Church in Camas, WA. Interment will be at Washougal Memorial Cemetery at 11AM.
