Beverly Ruth Austin went back to her Lord on Monday, March 10, 2008 in Camas. Born on November 26, 1919 in Coleridge, Nebraska, Beverly was 88 years old. Beverly was a Veteran of the U.S. Women's Army Air Corps during World War II. After the war she worked as a clerk. She was a member of the Disabled American Veteran's Association, and was involved in numerous ceremonies and memorials. She also attended St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Camas. She enjoyed oil painting, flying planes, dressing up as a clown for birthday parties, raising Chihuahuas, riding motorcycles, and traveling. Through her travels, she was able to visit every state capitol in the US. Beverly is survived by her step-son Ray Austin of Silverton, Oregon, sister Genevieve Booth of California, grandchildren Kelly Carr of Deltona, Florida, Pat Leeper of Spokane, Nancy Hill of Washougal, Peter Leeper of Ohio, Caryn Boetel of Burnsville, Minnesota, Bryn Stauffer of Owatonna, Minnesota, Bill Austin of California, Scott Austin of Oregon, and Kristie Teeney of Silverton, Oregon, and twenty-five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband William Austin, son James Moore, and step-daughter Carolyn Leeper. There will be a Rosary for Beverly on Thursday, March 13th at 6:00 pm at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Camas. A Funeral Mass will be on Friday at 10:30 am at the church. Burial will take place at Rose Hill Cemetery in Emerson, Nebraska. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
