Obituary of Lawrence Hudlicky

Lawrence (Larry, Hux, Bud) Hudlicky May 31, 1948-January 10, 2012 He will be missed deeply, loved always and never forgotten. Larry (Bud) Hudlicky, age 63, passed away at home surrounded by family and friends on January 10, 2012. He fought a courageous battle with lung disease/COPD. He was a true warrior with a strong, positive will for life despite many difficult challenges. Bud was born and lived his life in Vancouver, WA. He graduated from Hudson's Bay High School, class of 1967. He spent the majority of his career working as a warehouse foreman at WSI/Dillingham shipyards in Portland until its closure. He continued to work in the production field until his health required him to retire early. Always full of life and humor, Bud was passionate about many things. He loved ALL sports, especially NASCAR, football (Denver Broncos and Sea Hawks), and baseball. He was a gifted writer, history buff and enjoyed western culture and classic movies. He had a big heart and deep love for family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Joan Hudlicky, brothers, Denny Hudlicky, Tim Hudlicky, and sister Pat Titzler. He is survived by his beloved wife of 17 yrs, Terry, his son, Jerome Hudlicky, daughter Octavia Matson (Mark), sister, Angel (Rick) Ensley, five grandchildren, close friends Patrick, Jack, and Vicky Lint, numerous nieces, nephews, loving friends, neighbors, dog Snookums and kitties Pebbles and Sissy. McBride & Staff of SW Medical Group Pulmonary and Critical Care, PeaceHealth SW WA Hospital & Associates, Hospice SW, Lynn Caton of SW Family Physicians and all staff for their work and support.
