Dorothy Hailey Johnson passed away on Tuesday, May 06, 2008 at her home in Vancouver. Born on Christmas Day in 1914 in Mesa, Washington, Dorothy was 93 years old.
A resident of Vancouver since 2002, Dorothy was formerly from Pomeroy, Washington. She worked as a school teacher before her retirement. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, traveling, taking pictures, and scrap booking.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters Donna (Jim ) Schafer of Vancouver and Patty (Ray) Bernard of Rosalia, WA, son Bob (Cindy) Johnson of Pomeroy, WA, brother Lester Hailey of Lake Stevens, WA, and sister Maxine Highland of Beaverton, OR, eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years Don Johnson in 1989.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service for Dorothy in Pomeroy, Washington on May 27th at Pomeroy Methodist Church at 11:00 AM. Burial will be held at Pomeroy Cemetery.
Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
