Obituary of Lewis Chartrand

Lewis Arthur Chartrand of Washougal, Washington went to be with his Lord on June 17, 2014. He was 79. Lewis was born in 1935 to his parents Ralph and Lydia Chartrand in Cheny¸Washington. He was nearly a lifetime resident of Washougal, and worked at the James River Paper Mill. He was a veteran in the Navy, and received the Good Conduct award. Lewis had many passions in life, including bowling, fishing and crabbing, shooting pool, hunting and all things related to being in the great outdoors. He was a charter member of the Eagles, Moose Lodge, Mt. Pleasant Grange, and Silver Star Search and Rescue. He led a rich life, and will be very missed. He is survived by his daughters: Susan Wilkins of Washougal, Cindy Chase of Vancouver, Sandy Seevers of Washougal and Luann Styres of Vancouver; step-daughters: Linda Clark and Angela Todd of Vancouver; brothers: Henry Chartrand of Sitka, Alaska and Jesse Chartrand of Camas; sisters Laura Bishop of Vancouver and Ellen Bogle of Washougal; as well as 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. He is preceded in death by his Parents, Ralph and Lydia, his first wife Lolfae Whitten-Chartrand, his second wife Shirley Demerst-Chartrand, stepson Curtis LaMaster Jr., Stepdaughter Theresa Todd Cooley, grandson Douglas Chase and great-grandson Adrian Seevers. There will be a celebration of Lewis' life held on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 10AM at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas.
