Obituary for Donald Walter Henry Donald W. Henry passed away on July 9, 2014. He was 80 years old. Donald was born October 11, 1933 at home Bingen, Washington to his parents Walter George Henry and Bessie Cleo Johnson. There was no hospital in town, but luckily the doctor lived right next door! He resided in Vancouver for the past 9 months, but formerly a Washougal resident for 12 years. He served in the United States Air Force. In his civilian life, he worked for the U.S Department of Labor as a Director of Wages. Don was a member of the Riverside Seventh-day Adventist Church in Washougal, and loved to spend his free time playing golf and working on/buying cars. Donald is survived by his wife of 26 years, Barbara Henry; sons Mark Henry of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Don Henry Jr. and Shannon Henry, both of Belize, Central America, stepson Wendell Calkins of Olympia, Washington, daughter Lila Henry of West Linn, Oregon, stepdaughter Meredith Hann of Woodinville, Washington, as well as 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, his brother LeRoy Henry of Troutdale, Oregon and his sister Leona Walker of Hermiston, Oregon. He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Cleo, and his daughter Lisa Henry. There will be a Celebration of Donald's life held on Saturday, July 12, at 5PM at Riverside Seventh-day Adventist Church in Washougal, Washington. In lieu of flowers, friends of the Henry family may leave a donation at the Riverside Christian School Worthy Student Fund.
