Obituary of Jim Carroll

Jim L. Carroll of Camas, WA passed away July 16, 2014. He was 75.
Jim was born September 22, 1938 in Sioux City, Iowa to Wilbur and Darlene Carroll. He graduated from Fort Vancouver High School, went on to Clark College to receive his AA, and then attended Western Washington State University to receive his BA degree. A Camas resident since 1962, Jim was a teacher, but also a real-estate agent, and a former owner of many business. He was involved in many clubs and organizations, including the Washington Education Association, National Education Association, The Camas Lions, Camas School Board Member, and the Camas-Washougal Port Commissioner. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, flying, AV riding, horseback riding, and was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying all that nature had to offer, and all of the toys that went along with it.
He is survived by his wife Judy at home, two sons Bryan G. and Grant F. Carroll, two stepsons Jason and Christopher Sample, 3 grandsons and two sisters, Roberta DeBusch McCook and Crystal Ward McCook.
A celebration of Jim's colorful life will be held Friday, September 5, 2014 at Grace Foursquare Church in Camas, at 12:15. In honor of Jim, donations can be made to the Camas Lions.
