Obituary of Francis Kramer

Francs D. "Skeeter" Kramer passed away July 19, 2014 at age 92.
He was born June 19, 1922 to Bert and Minnie Kramer in Top, Oregon. At a young age the family moved to Washougal where he graduated from Washougal High School, Class of 1941. He was a WWII veteran of the American Merchant Marine Oceangoing Service. The most important thing in his life was family. He was preceded in death by both his high school sweetheart of 40 years, Janet Marshall, and his daughter Susan Craig. He is survived by daughters Shirley Holdsworth of Casa Grande, AZ, and Julie (Don) Houck, of Brush Prairie, WA, 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. During his life he was co-owner of B & K Logging Company until the 1950s, then worked for Crown Zellerbach until his retirement in the 1970s, and farmed his property on Mt. Norway. Skeeter built 3 homes for his family, and was an avid outdoorsman, loving to hunt, fish, dig clams, berry pick, hike and cut firewood.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, July 27, at the Washougal Community Center at 1 PM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of his daughter Susan Craig.
