Though I only met you twice, Linda, I always felt as if I knew you from hearing my mother, Lois Kiger (Miss Price to all Oregonian workers), speak of you as 'Linder'. She loved you as a friend and like a daughter. The 'birthday bunch' was a joy to her and she had many wonderful experiences and memories she shared. It is a blessing to know that you no longer need indure the ailments of your earthly body and are now sharing laughter and music with my much missed Mother. Thank you for your love, your kindness and your example of courage throughout the years.

I worked with Linda at the Oregonian Classified Advertising for 35 years. At one point I was her immediate supervisor. Like many others I also considered her a friend. Linda was very supportive of her friends and the people she worked with. Linda was very active in organizing classified functions to the point where I called her the "Social Director of Classified". Linda was a very quiet, independent person and very consistent with her value system. At the top of her value system was family. Since I first knew Linda she talked about her children and later her grandchildren. Being a family oriented person she did much with her family including a annual pickle making event. This year Camille and I will get a chance to taste some of these pickles. We will be thinking of you and your family that you so adored. Linda, I also have a confession to make after all these years: You are younger then me by 9 months. It was a joy to know such a worthwhile human being....Love Ray Ruble

So many memories of my childhood friend and neighbor Linda. We went through 12 years of school together, huddled together by the furnace in Sunday School and Church at Pine Grove on snowy and cold wintery days. Yes, we also grumbled together as we hoed the corn in her fathers corn field. I know that she will be missed by those, whether family or friends, but it gave it one heck of a good fight. You my dear Linda, are now in a better place....

My sincere condolences and warmest regards to Linda's family at this sad time. I had the pleasure of working with Linda for many years at The Oregonian in the Classified department, and will always remember her as a great friend and colleague.
