Marjorie May Gipson passed away on September 8, 2014. She was 97 years old. Marjorie was born on June 29, 1917 to her parents Robert and Margaret Lynch in Grand View, Idaho. She graduated from Lin Aero College in 1938, with a Bachelor's of Science degree, Linfield College in 1965 with a Master's in Education, and spent her working life as a teacher. She also graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Divinity in 1980 at Serampore College in India, afterwhich she became an ordained minister. Marjorie has been a Vancouver resident since 1983. She was a member of Eastwoods Presbyterian Church in Vancouver, as well as the American Association of University Women, She is survived by her loving children. Two sons, Robert E. Gipson of Los Angelas, California, and John M. Gipson of Silver Springs, Maryland; three daughters, Tracy A. Gipson of Silver Springs Maryland, Marcia L. Christian of Battle Ground, Washington, and Carol P. Calkins of Seattle, Washington, as well as 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Husband Tracy Gipson, and her brother Robert Gipson. A private family gathering took place on September 12, 2014 at Memory Memorial Park in Vancouver, Washington.
