Carol Jean Rants went to be with her lord on October 23, 2014. She was 73.
Carol was born in Rural Mead County, South Dakota, on July 15, 1941 to her parents William Schell and Blanche Felton. She has been a Camas resident for the past 55+ years, and retired from Georgia Pacific Paper Mill, where she worked in the loading dock. Carol enjoyed collecting antiques, fishing and camping; she was a rockhound and loved finding new rocks to add to her collection. Carol loved her family and friends. She will be missed.
Carol is survived by her husband of 9 years, Cliff, her son Mark Lanier of Battle Ground, WA, daughter Tawnya Taylor of Camas, and Blanche Cummins of Longview, WA, 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, her brothers Jerry and Don, and three sisters, Catherine, Norma, and Linda.
There will be a celebration of Carol's life held on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas, at 11 AM. Those who wish may make a contribution to the Alzheimer's Fund.
