Obituary of Carl Zollo

Carl Ray Zollo peacefully passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2008 in Vancouver. Born on May 8, 1927 in Camas, Carl was 81 years old. A lifetime Camas resident, Carl was a Veteran of the US Navy during World War II. He married his wife Diann in 1961. Carl worked in the Camas School District teaching for 34 years, and coaching in football, golf, and basketball. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Camas and a volunteer for the Camas Fire Department for 25 years. He also belonged to the Washington Education Association and the National Education Association. Carl is survived by his loving wife Diann at home, sons Ron Zollo of Milwaukie, Oregon, and Mark Zollo of Camas, brothers Bernard Zollo of Camas and Duane Zollo of Camas, and his grandson Brody Zollo. There will be a Funeral Mass on Thursday, July 10th at 11:00 am at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Camas. Interment will take place at the Camas Cemetery. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
