Dennis Paul Frye peacefully passed away at his home in Vancouver on Wednesday, September 10, 2008. Born on June 28, 1944 in Eugene, Oregon, Dennis was 64 years old.
A Vancouver resident for the last four years, Dennis formerly lived in Portland for sixty years. He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School in 1962, and was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Vancouver. He was a co-founder of the Oregon Vintage Motorcycles, enjoyed traveling to the southwestern parts of the U.S., reading, and fly-fishing. Most of all, Dennis was a devoted father and husband who loved his family and his Lord.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 36 years Colleen at home, daughters Jennifer Foltz and Mary Ann Takashima both of Portland, grandson Ty Takashima, and sisters Carolyn Hainisch of Portland and Barbara Frye of Seattle.
There will be a Funeral Mass for Dennis on Monday, September 15th at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church: 6600 Highland Drive, Vancouver, WA 98661. Interment will take place at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Portland. A celebration of life reception will be held on October 11th from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at Dennis and Colleen's house: 2613 SE 173rd Place, Vancouver, WA 98683.
