My First Christmas In Heaven I've had my first Christmas in Heaven, A glorious, wonderful day. I Stood with the saints of the Ages, Who found Christ the truth and the way. I sang with the heavenly choir, Just think, I joined in to sing. And, oh, what celestial music We brought to our Savior and King. We sang the glad songs of Redemption, How Jesus to Bethlehem came, And how they call his name Jesus That all might be saved through His name. We sang once again with the angels, The message they sang that blest morn When shepherds first heard the glad story That Jesus, the Savior, was born. O Dear Ones, I wish you had been there. No Christmas on earth could compare With all the rapture and glory We witness in heaven so fair. You know how I always loved Christmas, It seemed such a wonderful day With all of my loved ones around me, The children so happy and gay. Yes, now I can see why I loved it, And, oh, what a joy it will be When you and my loved ones are with me To share in the glories I see. So, Dear Ones on earth, herels my greeting, Look up till the day dawn appears. Oh, what a Christmas awaits us Beyond our parting of tears.

Al, Terry, Rod, Randy, Ricky and Tammy, my heart goes out to all of you as you cope with the days without your loving wife and mother. She was a treasure with a heart of gold and a kindness of heart that touched all who knew her. She had a special knack of making one feel special...and especially her foster children...she had enough love to go around to not only her first love, Al, but also enough for all her children with enough left over to share with that foster child. She was a special mother and will be truly remembered by all whose lives she touched. You have been blessed by the presence of an angel. I met Elaine in 1950 as we rode the same bus to high school and we had many classes together. Yes, she was a very special friend and I too will miss her.

•God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered "come to me." With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.

Elaine was my best-friend-for-life since 1952. No matter how many miles were between us our loving friendship was without end. In our youth she wanted to become a nurse caring for babies and little children. Instead she became a best Mom, nursing with great love to a wonderful family. I think she was a genius at it. She will be missed by all of us, friends and family alike. Goodbye Sweet Angel.

Elaine and I were high school and lifetime best friends. We stood together through thick and thin. She nurtured my baby daughter, Roxanne, through extreme infant illness. I couldn't ask for a better friend. She was always kind and thoughtful, caring especially for little ones and oldsters. And she had the most delightful laugh. Go with God, my friend.

Dear Mom,
There are so many things to miss about you. Your green eyes that told the best stories, your huge hugs that kept us warm, your sweet voice that always made everything OK. We will miss your incredible banter, your jagged wit, your ability to love without restrictions, my better cards partner.
How we could hear "Hi Honey" one more time. You were our bright spot, our most beautiful sunset, our best girl.
So many times we wanted to lift you up, fix your tired body and make you well. You fought the good fight.
Disbelief that you were gone caused us all to loose our breath. You were beautiful and loving, always with an encouraging word. You were kind and generous to a fault.
You are the last person to see your greatness and the impact you have had on all of our lives.
You held true to your heart, you held true to Dad, you held true to your children, grand-children and greats. Remembering the good times will not be hard.
I'm sure everyone will agree when I say "the conversation in heaven will become a lot more lively".
I love you mom,
Randy

The wonderful photo in Ruth's obituary caught my eye and I read the notice even though I don't know you. The common ties I saw in the notice lead me to send my sympathy. The day after Thanksgiving last year I lost my first mate of 43 years to pneumonia as a result of pancreas cancer and Brown's handled Gretchen's cremation. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you adjust to your loss. Dan
