Obituary of Charles Rhodes
Please share a memory of Charles to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Charles was born on May 5, 1950 in Vancouver and was a lifelong resident of Camas and Washougal. He attended Camas High School and then worked at Crown Zellerbach Paper Mill in Camas as a supervisor of the pulp and bleaching plant for many years. Charles was a master pool player. He served as president of the Clark County Pool League and participated in numerous national tournaments.
He also enjoyed white water rafting; rafting most of the northwest's premiere rafting rivers, including the Snake and Colorado Rivers. He was well traveled, visiting Europe and a road trip to Mexico in his corvette, but he was usually busy around his two acre farm maintaining one of the trails or raising his Dobermans. Charles was married and divorced three times (he liked to say he broke even), but his greatest love in life was being with his grandkids. He bravely fought many health issues for much of his life, and passed away on January 2, 2009. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
Charles is survived by his son Daniel, his father and sisters, and two grandchildren. Services are pending. Contact Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services at 834.3692 for details.
