Obituary of Carl Wey
Please share a memory of Carl to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Carl Joseph Wey went to be with his Lord on Sunday, April 26, 2009. He was 97 years old and had been lovingly tended to by Marsha and her staff at Caring Comfort in Washougal.
A lifetime Fern Prairie resident, Carl was honorably discharged after serving in the United States Army during World War II. He then went to work for Crown Zellerbach Paper Mill in Camas and retired after working 45 years. He was a member of the Camas Nazarene Church and enjoyed gardening and reading. Most of all, Carl loved the Lord with all his heart and followed Him all of his days.
Carl is survived by his loving wife of over 60 years Erma, sister Virginia Surber, sons, Mike (Joan) and Stan, daughter Janet, three nephews and their families, nine grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
There will be a Celebration of Carl's life on Saturday, May 2nd at 11:00 am at the Camas Nazarene Church. Viewing will be held on Thursday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Brown's Funeral Home. Vault interment with full military honors will be held at the Fern Prairie Cemetery in Camas.
