Larry was a truck driver and loved it. He started driving in the early 60s for wholesale food distributors. After moving to Battle Ground, WA in 1990 he hauled freight and retired in 2001. His theme song was "On the Road Again."
Larry's hobby was golf, golf, and golf. He was looking forward to getting back out on the course but just never did get strong enough. He loved the family road trips to Disneyland. Larry and his family have been members of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Battle Ground since their move here in 1990.
In 1972, Larry had a kidney transplant from a cadaver kidney which was expected to last 7-10 years. He was very blessed and thankful to have 35 healthy yrs before that kidney started failing. He has been fighting skin cancer for quite a few years with surgeries, chemo, and radiation which finally took its toll on his body. Larry's wife and children were at his bedside when our Lord took him home to live in heaven eternally with Him.
There will be a Celebration of Larry's life on Friday, June 19th at 4:00 pm at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church: 14208 NE 249th Street; Battle Ground, WA 98604.
