Ernest Hardin Bensch Jr. passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at his home in Vancouver. Born on August 9, 1945, Ernest was 63 years old.
A Vancouver resident since 1980, Ernest was formerly from the Tri-Cities area. He was a Veteran of the US Air Force during the Vietnam Era, and was remembered for his avid enthusiasm for airplanes, cars, trucks, and race cars. He was also a very athletic man who enjoyed snow and water skiing.
Ernest is survived by his daughter Lori (Dan Jr.) Wyatt of Vancouver, son Christopher (Heather) Bensch of Kaizer, Oregon, brothers John Bensch of Northern California and Douglas Bensch of Seattle, sister Susan Hackney of Bothell, Washington, former wife Jane Dowling of Vancouver, and grandchildren Lincoln Wyatt, Tucker Wyatt, and CJ Bensch. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Kent Webb.
