Lloyd Harold Karpinske peacefully passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver. Born on August 25, 1923 in Lake Preston, South Dakota to Joseph and Esther Karpinske, Lloyd was 86 years old.
A Washougal resident for the last twenty-five years, Lloyd worked as a truck driver in the transportation industry for 43 years at the Swift and Company/Conagra Corporation. He was a Veteran of the United States Army during World War II.
Lloyd is survived by his loving wife Lucille at home, son John Karpinske, daughters Bonnie Sherman, and Sharon Stewart, sisters Luella Walton and Mary Pewitt, and brother Joseph Karpinske, five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
