Obituary of Violet O'Connor

Violet Muench O'Connor passed away on Monday, October 5, 2009 at her home in Washougal.  Born on December 8, 1921 in McIntosh, South Dakota to Otto and Nellie Muench, Violet was 87 years old. Violet was formerly from Portland, Oregon and Stevenson, Washington before she moved to Washougal.  She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Camas, and member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #1744 in Stevenson.  An avid reader, Violet also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, traveling, going on cruises, and playing cribbage.  Most importantly, Violet enjoyed spending time with her beloved family and friends. Violet is survived by her son Pat (Lynn) O'Connor, grandsons Erin (Traci) O'Connor, John O'Connor, Brian O'Connor, Kevin O'Connor, Ken O'Connor, and Shawn O'Connor, granddaughters Angel Lucke and Katie O'Connor, and great-grandchildren Kayla Lucke, Kimmy Lucke, and Morgan O'Connor.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years Willard J. O'Connor in 1991, and sons Robert E. O'Connor in 2004 and Timothy K. O'Connor in 2004. There will be a graveside service for Violet on Saturday, October 17th at 10:00 am at Park Hill Cemetery in Vancouver.  Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
