Gideon Jay Buhman returned to his Lord on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 in Portland, Oregon. Born on May 14, 2007 in Vancouver, Gideon was 2 years young.
Gideon had Mosaic Down Syndrome which gave him some challenges, but he always tried his best at anything he did. He loved making people laugh, listening to music, dancing, and having books read to him. Most of all he will be remembered as a strong fighter who survived four heart surgeries and who deeply touched the lives of many.
Gideon is survived by his loving mother Marriah Buhman at home, father Shane Delong of North Dakota, sisters Chenoa Delong and Cheyenne Delong of North Dakota, grandparents Teresa Buhman of Vancouver, Deborah Hotchkiss of Beaverton, Jay Buhman of Washougal, Cherri Hamilton of Washougal, and Florene and Myron Delong of North Dakota, aunt Michelle Buhman of Vancouver, and uncles Zach Gould of Beaverton, Curtis Barber of Vancouver, and Kalvin Brunelle of Washougal.
There will be a Celebration of Gideon's life on Monday, October 12th at 1:00 pm at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas.
Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
