Like so many of our classmates, Jim departed during WWII and forged an impressive career before returning. I recall Jim mainly from our time as football players for the Papermakers, and as a bright and able person. We met again only briefly at reunions but my memory of him is that he was always mindful of the care and comfort of others. Truly an officer and a gentleman, he will be missed by all and certainly should our classmates of long ago gather and exchange memories of our youth in Camas. My best wishes are extended to Jim's family along with sincere condolences for their significant loss of a splendid man missed by many.
