Obituary of Meta Yoakley

Meta Dora Yoakley peacefully passed away at Carolee's Assisted Living in Ridgefield, Washington on Saturday, March 24, 2012. Born on March 7, 1919 in Seattle, Washington to Charles and Mabeth (Jackson) Hanson; Meta was 93 years old. A Vancouver resident for the last six years, Meta was formerly from Medford, Oregon. She was a graduate of Ketchikan High School in 1937, and a lifelong member of the Methodist Church. She will forever be remembered for the love and care she had for her family. Meta is survived by her children Carol Lount of Central Point, Oregon, Lynne (James) Scapple of Vancouver, Washington, Dawn (Bob) Bryan of Willow, Alaska, and David Crawford of Woodland, Washington; brother Charles (Jean) Hanson of Newberg, Oregon; sister Gail (Les) Wilson of Wasilla, Alaska, and numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother Robert Hanson and sister Alice Jean Hanson. A private vault interment was held at the Camas Cemetery. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
